A lamp is mostly light, and light is mostly whatever it has to pass through.
This one passes through cloth. Pleated close enough that the folds keep their own shadow, and printed with ink that was allowed to bleed rather than told where to stop — so the bloom falls differently across every shade, and none of them can be made to match.
The base is meant to stay quiet. Unglazed stoneware is what we are chasing: fired clay left unsealed, the kind of surface that takes a mark the way a plaster wall does. Not porcelain. Not resin, and not a stone-look coating over something else. If we cannot get it in real unglazed clay, we will say so rather than quietly substitute it.
It does not exist yet
This is a design, not a product. There is no stock, no price and no date. We are working out whether it should be made at all.
It will be made to order, which only means it gets made after somebody wants it instead of before. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be discounted.
